BY CAR:
From Manhattan
Take the Lincoln Tunnel to the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 15W (Route 280 West); follow directions from Route 280 West.
From the Bronx/Upper Manhattan/Connecticut/Westchester
Take the George Washington Bridge; follow the signs for the New Jersey Turnpike – you can only go South – to Exit 15W (Route 280 West); then follow directions from Route 280 West.
From Brooklyn
Take the Holland Tunnel; follow the signs for the New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 15W (Route 280 West); then follow directions from Route 280 West.
From the Garden State Parkway
Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 145 (Route 280 West); then follow directions from Route 280 West.
From Route 280 West
Take Route 280 West to Exit 10. The exit is marked W. Orange, S. Orange, Montclair – this is also Northfield Avenue – stay to the left. At the top of the exit there is a traffic light, make a left. You’re on Northfield Avenue. Go to the third light and make another left. This is Gregory Avenue; stay on Gregory (it becomes Wyoming Avenue when the street widens). Go all the way to the end of the road – approximately 2.1 miles – this is South Orange Avenue and make a left. Stay to the right and go down the hill to the next light (this is Ridgewood Road). The Church is on your right just past the next traffic light. Go past the Church to the next street (Church Street) and make a right; then make a right into the parking lot*.
From Route 280 East
Take Route 280 East to Exit 8A. This exit is marked Prospect Avenue, West Orange. Stay on Prospect Avenue (past the Essex Green Shopping Center) to the end. You’ll go through 2 traffic lights and past the golf course (which will be on your right after the second light). Prospect Avenue ends at Northfield Avenue (at the third traffic light). Make a left onto Northfield Avenue and stay to the right. Go down the hill to the next traffic light and make a right. This is Gregory Avenue; stay on Gregory (it becomes Wyoming Avenue when the street widens). Go all the way to the end of the road – approximately 2.1 miles – this is South Orange Avenue and make a left. Stay to the right and go down the hill to the next light (this is Ridgewood Road). The Church is on your right just past the next traffic light. Go past the Church to the next street (Church Street) and make a right; then make a right into the parking lot*.
From Route 24 East and Route 78 East (local exits)
Take Route 24 East to Exit 49B. The exit is marked Millburn/Maplewood. This is Springfield Avenue. Go over Route 24, and stay to the left past ‘The Home Depot’ and ‘The Crescent Golf Range’ to Vauxhall Road (at an intersection with 3 gas stations). Make a left onto Vauxhall Road. Just before the next traffic light is a sign marked ‘Seton Hall, 3 miles’, and just beyond that sign is a right traffic feeder that takes you onto Valley Street. Make that right and continue on Valley Street to South Orange Avenue (7 traffic lights). Turn left onto South Orange Avenue. Go down the hill, and under the railroad overpass. Go through the next traffic light (which is an entry to the New Jersey Transit parking lot) and make the first left you can onto Church Street (which is just before the next traffic light at Ridgewood Road). Then make a right into the parking lot*.
* On weeknights and weekends additional parking is available at the New Jersey Transit parking lot which is directly opposite the Church lot (there is an entrance on Church Street).
BY TRAIN:
Take the New Jersey Transit Morristown Line or the Gladstone Branch train of the Morris & Essex lines to the South Orange station. Exit the train station onto Sloan Street. Walk to the corner of Sloan Street and South Orange Avenue. Turn left, walk under the railroad overpass, past one traffic light and an Exxon gas station and make the first left you can onto Church Street. The Church is at the corner of South Orange Avenue and Church Street.
Parking
Overflow parking is available in the New Jersey Transit parking lot. Enter the lot from Church Street (across the street from the driveway to the church parking lot.)
